Invisible Spiritual Realm Series #7 - Part 178 of Riddles, Enigmas & Esoteric Imagery of Revelation

The Bible is rife with revelation of the Invisible Spiritual Realm.  Jesus revealed the invisible Kingdom of Heaven to all who would listen.  Later His revelations were written in the Bible.  The Bible has become the most destroyed book that was ever published, yet it still is the most purchased book in the world.  The enemies of God, tyrannical rulers of nations throughout the planet who have become gods, seek to destroy the very book that reveals their wicked deception - they are mere men filled with demonic spirits.

The book of Daniel is full of examples that reveal the happenings of the invisible spiritual realm.   While a teenager Daniel was ripped from his home in Jerusalem by a pagan army, and taken captive to the wicked city of Babylon.  He was raised to revere God so was a young man of prayer.  Some may ask why would God allow one of His kids to suffer like this?   God has purpose in persecution and unjust treatment in the earthly realm.

Sadly, the book of Daniel is taught by many denominations as a myth, such as the time Daniel was thrown into a cage of lions for refusing to worship the pagan King Darius as god.   When the lions refused to open their mouths, Daniel's God was revered by the pagan king.  Daniel told the king...My God sent His angel and shut the lions' mouths, so that they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent before Him; and also, O king, I have done no wrong before you...Daniel 6:22. 

The godly beings who live in the invisible spiritual realm brought justice to Daniel, as he faced death because he refused to capitulate to the demands of the dominate pagan and immoral society in which he lived.  Daniel is our example of godly boldness in the face of injustice at the hands of wicked and corrupt pagan governments who seek to destroy anyone who dares to glorify Jesus Christ vociferously in the public arena.  Daniel's impossible & unjust situation allowed His God to accomplish the impossible -- and be glorified by the pagan king.

What would you do if you endured the injustice of Daniel?  Would you cop a plea bargain?  Maybe you would never face the persecution that Daniel faced, because there is not enough evidence in your life to accuse you of being a follower of Jesus Christ.  Evidence demands a verdict!  If you claim to be a Christian, yet you display no fruit of the Holy Spirit - love, joy, peace, humility, patience, kindness, faithfulness, endurance, self-control - then you will not experience the victory of Daniel.  Why?  Because you appear no different from the rest of the people in the world.

We can go through the routine of Bible studies and church attendance and fool many people, but we can never fool God.  And, we can't fool Satan and his demons.  When push comes to shove, like it did for Daniel many times during his lifetime, will we exemplify the same results?  We must come out of the world and declare the works of Jesus Christ with the boldness of Daniel, so that God can send His angels to help us.

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God...Rom. 10:17.  If we only believe parts of the Bible, while doubting other parts, the faith of Daniel will not be resident in us.  This reference declares that faith comes by hearing God's word.   Daniel put his life on the line because he totally believed in God's word.  And this is why he had the outcome that he did.

When we were last together I left you with the question, "What happened at age 31?"   During this series I have shared some of my personal experiences with the invisible spiritual realm.   God desires for His kids to understand the realm where He lives -- the invisible spiritual realm.  Satan and his hordes of demons also occupy this realm and the Bible clearly explains their shenanigans, so that we can protect ourselves.  Spiritual truth sets us free...John 8:32.

In previous blogs of this series I described a dream I had since I was 7 years old, as well as what caused me at age 14 to begin to hear voices from the invisible spiritual ream.   I had no idea that anyone lived in the invisible spiritual realm.  Psychologists label you as insane if you dare to share that you hear voices, so you are left with two choices:   suffer in silence as the voices tell you that you are worthless and to kill yourself - or - seek professional help and be locked up, given psyche-meds, and labeled a loony-tunes.  I never told a soul!

By 1971 my husband was running from the law and we ended up in Montana.  By 1972, my husband was gone most weekends to indulge drunkenness, gambling & infidelity, leaving me with the haunting voices.  My life was a failure, it was impossible to go on.  One of those sorrowful weekends, early in the Fall, I finally succumbed to the commands of the voices, after resisting them silently over 16 years in my own strength -- I was just too tired to go on.   What did I do?

Past midnight I walked into the closet and grabbed my husband's rifle - no hand gun available.  Dragging it behind me, I walked to the night stand to retrieve a box of shells, then walked out to the living room and sat on the couch.  I opened the box and pulled out a shell.  At the moment I began to place the shell in the chamber I heard a stern audible voice, coming from the middle of the living room.  I looked up expecting to see someone standing there, because it was that real, but I saw no one.  What did the voice say?

"You...would remove yourself from this impossible situation and leave those two little girls that you begged Me for?"  I had miscarried 4 babies, nearly losing my life during the loss of the twins, so the voice was accurate about begging God.  The voice woke me out of  my trance-like state of hopelessness, the same as throwing cold water in my face would do.  A flood of tears gushed down my face in sorrow for not considering their future without me - I wasn't in control, but something or someone in the invisible spiritual realm had taken over and driven me to this horrific act.  Between desperate, heart-wrenching sobs, I finally cried out to the voice, "I don't know what to do!"

Tenderly the voice said, "Give all of these things to Me."  I said that I would.  I felt like someone had poured warm soothing honey on top of my head as joy flooded every atom of my being.  I don't remember ever experiencing joy before -- it was indescribable and full of glory!  It was past 1:00 AM by now, but I ran to the girls room where they were sound asleep, totally unaware of the near-tragedy, opened the door and whispered through my tears of joy, "I will never attempt suicide again, and will never put myself first!?"  I kept both promises. 

The dream I endured for 24 years of being chased in the night, and the condemning invisible voices I endured for 16 years never returned after I accepted Jesus as my Savior on that dark night of the soul.  Can demons manifest through a human being right before your eyes?  Stay tuned...

Invisible Spiritual Realm Series #6 - Part 177 of Riddles, Enigmas & Esoteric Imagery of Revelation

The purpose of this series is to open our eyes to the Invisible Spiritual Realm, and all the spiritual beings who dwell there - good and evil - and how they influence our earthly lives.  This is the eternal realm which will never pass away, unlike the earth and men's works, which will pass away someday...II Pet. 3:10-12.  Jesus taught His apostles and disciples about this realm and demonstrated the power and authority He was passing onto them when He leaves the earth.

Jesus commissioned His apostles to carry out His work across the planet when He said...Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature...he who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned...and these signs will follow those who believe:  in My Name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they will drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover...Mark 16:15-17.

As soon as Jesus Christ spoke these words to His apostles He ascended into Heaven.  Every command in this reference was demonstrated over and over by Jesus to His followers. This Great Commission is to all followers of Jesus throughout the generations.  While there are a few church bodies across the planet who follow His mandate, does your church?  If not, why not?

There are a couple of metaphors in this reference that must be understood before we can fulfill His commission.  What are the metaphors?  They will take up serpents, and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them.  Do you remember when Jesus told the 70 disciples...I give you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you...Luke 10:19?  This is metaphorical language.

Through metaphorical language Jesus is letting His followers know that demons & devils will come after them, but they will not be hurt.  To drink anything deadly means:  many will speak ugly rumors and evil lies against them, but these rumors & lies will not hurt them...no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn...this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord...Is. 54:17.

Jesus demonstrated very clearly how to rebuke demons and cast them out of people.  This also means that each believer, who is oppressed and harassed by demons from the invisible spiritual realm, has the authority in the Name of Jesus to cast them out and into the dry places...Matt. 12:43.  Churches must get back to teaching the Great Commission -- all of it -- including speaking in new tongues and laying hands on the sick!  If your church isn't teaching all of the Great Commission  -  ask Jesus and He will be happy to show you everything about the Invisible Spiritual Realm.

In this series, I have been sharing some of my experiences with the beings that live in the invisible spiritual realm, and what precipitated the voices I began to hear at age 14, but could not see with my physical eyes.  I left off in the last blog in the middle of my testimony, where I asked my grandmother, why I was born in a hospital and at full term weighed only a little over 5 lb?  What made my mom so ill she had to stay in the hospital for 10 days? 

My grandmother answered, "Your Mom did not want to be pregnant, so she set out to starve herself, hoping the pregnancy would abort spontaneously, but that did not happen.  Instead, she lost 20 pounds, becoming seriously ill, nearly dying, thus the long stay in the hospital and your birth weight so low."  Now I understood why my parents would introduce me to new visitors to our home, "This is Annie who was not planned, but she is a stubborn little s... and is here anyway," followed by a hearty guffaw. 

When I was 14 years old, I had just gotten my report card for the 8 classes I was taking.  My Mom asked, "Why are you taking so many classes, you are wearing yourself out?"

I explained they were pre-college, so when I got to college these requirements would already be met.  She said, "What?  You aren't going to college.  I never got to go to college, which was my dream, so you certainly aren't going to go."  Then I asked, "Why did you offer college to your oldest child?"  She looked at me sternly and said, "Well, she had brains and talent."

When I protested that this wasn't fair to her two other children, she retorted, "Look, I didn't ask for you to be born, but I will do my duty and take care of you until you turn 18 -- but then you have to get out and take care of yourself!" 

When children are abandoned or rejected --  literally or emotionally -- they will either withdraw into their own sorrow, repeating to themselves how worthless they are, or they will rebel with aggressive behavior, to make others pay for their lot in life.  Either way, they become vulnerable to the wiles of the devil, who could during these times of sorrow, anger, and desire for revenge, possess them and lead them down a path of self-destruction. 

So when I read stories about people who have done unthinkable torture to others saying, "I heard voices tell me to kill, steal or destroy another human being or animal" I not only believe them, I know who lives inside of them, forcing them to commit these crimes against humanity.  Satan hates God, and the best way to get back at Him, is to kidnap His kids, possess them, and take them to Hell with him.  But God uses every trial in our life to draw us to Him, to empower us to overcome the Evil One.

The pain of abandonment and rejection provided my vulnerability to the voices of condemnation in the invisible spiritual realm.   My mother confirmed what my grandmother had told me, which plunged me into a deep depression until I was 31 years old.  During those long years I continued to dream that nightmare of being chased, and continued to hear the voices -- finding myself repeating their condemning words over and over to myself until I finally succumbed to their biding at age 31.  What happened at age 31?  Stay tuned...

Invisible Spiritual Realm Series #5 - Part 176 of Riddles, Enigmas & Esoteric Imagery of Revelation

Jesus Christ spent His short earthly ministry revealing the invisible spiritual realm to His followers.  This is why it is imperative that we study the Bible and understand clearly who lives in the invisible spiritual realm and how they influence our lives on the earth.

Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom...Matt. 16:28.  What did Jesus mean by this statement?  Several days after this statement He took three of His apostles on a journey where He opened their eyes to see into the invisible spiritual realm so they could literally see Him in His kingdom - scripture gives us the account of this event.

Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves...and He was transfigured before them...His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light...and behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him...Matt. 17:1-3. 

What does transfigured mean?  The word transfigured in the original Greek language is metamorphoo meaning:  transform; change. It is from this Greek word that we get the word metamorphosis.  The apostles were very aware that Elijah and Moses had died and left the earth centuries ago, yet Jesus allowed them to see into His kingdom how these two spiritual leaders were alive and well in the invisible spiritual realm.

While Peter was talking to the Lord...a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased...hear Him!...Matt. 17:5.  The three apostles fell on their faces very afraid because seeing into the invisible spiritual realm didn't make sense in their natural realm.  But Jesus came and touched them and said, Arise, and do not be afraid...when they lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only...Matt 17:7-8.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever...Heb. 13:8.  This scripture confirms that Jesus deals with mankind the same way in every generation.  He wants us to understand clearly the happenings in the invisible spiritual realm.  In this modern generation His followers will experience supernatural experiences, not unlike the apostles in their day.

In this series I have been sharing a few of my experiences in the invisible spiritual realm, hoping it helps the seeker of Jesus Christ to not be afraid -- just as Jesus told His apostles.  Hopefully my testimony will help others understand that we all struggle in this earthly realm, but Jesus is the answer -- the only way to overcome theses obstacles.  When we were last together, I began to tell you that I was 14 years old when I began to hear voices from the invisible realm.  I had no idea that anyone lived in the invisible realm, so I assumed they were all in my head.  What did the voices tell me?

As I would gaze into the mirror combing my hair in preparation for school, I heard, "You are worthless, you are a failure and will never amount to anything.  You are taking up air that is meant for worthy people -- remove yourself from the earth!"  To make matters worse, I had cystic acne -- big purple ugly bumps (not pimples) that stayed in position 6 weeks.  When they finally disappeared a scar was left in its place.  While I would have 3-4 at a time, my poor sister suffered with these all over her face, neck & back.  Nonetheless, the voices assured me that I was ugly and no one loved me.

Now I know that these voices were demons, but there would be much suffering before I understood spiritual things.  So what made me vulnerable to the manifestation of these voices?  I was 7 years old when my grandpa Frankie died -- the one who showed me love.  No one thought a 7 year old could grieve, so I did so at night crying into my mattress (we weren't allowed pillows) agonizing my loss, all alone.  Soon after, I began to have a dream.  What was the dream?

I saw myself running franticly, heart pounding desperately, down a path made of bricks, a murky fog engulfing me, which prevented me from seeing who was chasing me.  I tried looking back, but never could see who was terrorizing me.  This dream recurred several times a year where I experienced the panic and terror over and over again, never knowing who was chasing me, nor why I was being chased.  I had no one to talk to about this.  I had no idea demons lived in the invisible realm.

When I was around 9 years old, my oldest sister told me, "You are so ugly, even your Mother doesn't love you!"  I finally got the answer I had been asking myself since my loving grandpa left me, "Why doesn't my Mother love me - no hugs no kisses - why am I so unlovable?"  My sisters were born at home, which was normal for those times and they had normal birth weights.  I was born in a hospital where my mom was so ill she had to stay 10 days.  My weight was just over 5 pounds.  One day I asked my grandmother what happened.  What did she tell me?  Stay tuned...

Invisible Spiritual Realm Series #4 - Part 175 of Riddles, Enigmas & Esoteric Imagery of Revelation

 

In this series - Invisible Spiritual Realm - we are revealing the activity of the invisible realm.  Sadly, people go about their daily affairs without one thought about the invisible beings that surround them continually.  But, it is the beings in the invisible realm who influence all the decisions we make -- oh, you thought those ideas were your own...nada!

 

At evening, when the sun had set, they brought to Him all who were sick and those who were demon possessed...and the whole city was gathered together at the door...then He healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons, and He did not allow the demons to speak, because they knew Him...Mark 1:32-34.  Jesus demonstrated to His followers the authority and power that He has imparted to them.  What he just showed them was a normal day in the life of His followers.  There is nothing to fear from our invisible enemy, for Jesus has empowered us to become overcomers while we live on the earth.

 

The Lord has established His throne in Heaven and His kingdom rules over all...bless the Lord you His angels who excel in strength, who do His word, heeding the voice of His word...bless the Lord, all you His hosts, you ministers of His, who do His pleasure...Psalm 103:19-21. 

 

This reference depicts the Invisible Spiritual Realm very clearly.  We see God's throne in His heavenly kingdom where He rules over everything.  His invisible angels are called ministers who do His pleasure.  These angels heed the voice of His word.  What does this mean?

 

When a follower of Christ speaks the word of God - voice of His word - God's angels are energized to make that word come to pass in the earthly realm.  If they don't hear the word of God spoken, they can't accomplish the pleasures of God toward His beloved human beings.  Jesus said...the words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life...John 6:63.  When we speak God's words, which are spirit, they will bring life - they will manifest the promises of God into our physical realm - His angels are commanded to make it happen. 

 

We have been given authority in the Name of Jesus to enlist all of God's invisible beings, of His pure and holy realm, to help us accomplish His will during our earthly journey.  But, if we have not acquire this spiritual knowledge, we will sadly rely on the flesh to help us overcome the demonic spiritual realm who relentlessly harass and torment us, desiring to kill, steal and destroy. 

 

When we were last together I left you to ponder, what overtakes a human being to become so enraged that he/she enacts evil crimes against humanity -- rape, torture, death and destruction?  Remember in in Blog #1 of this series where we leaned about the Man of Gadara who was possessed by a legion of demons, and had become insane?  Jesus commanded the demons to leave the man and instantly he was set free from their possession and he became sane once again.  Jesus has empowered us to do the same.

 

Satan and his hordes of demons haunt the earth looking for someone to possess and use to create damage to other human beings -- invoke hatred, revenge, chaos, anarchy, wars.  These are symptoms in a human being that reveals who rules that person.  Sadly, modern society has been educated intellectually regarding the psyche, refusing any credence to the spiritual realm.  So demon possession is no longer recognized as a valid diagnosis. 

 

Today, demon possession is identified as a neurosis -- anxieties, compulsions, obsessions, phobias.  Or psychosis -- schizophrenia or manic-depressive.  If you hear voices you are diagnosed -- multiple-personality disorder.  Of course, there are many other diagnoses, but these few give us the idea how modern medicine deals with demon possession.  What does modern medicine do for these poor souls?  Usually they medicate the demons, and often institutionalize them.  When we cast aside spiritual knowledge we are left with very limited intellectual knowledge and usually defeat.

 

How do evil spirits enter and possess human beings?  The scriptures shed some light on the subject.  If you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth...this wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic...for where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there...James 3:14-16.

 

James went on to explain...where do wars and fights come from among you?  Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members?  You lust and do not have...you murder and covet and cannot obtain...you fight and war...James 4:1-2.

 

All evil manifestations on the earth are perpetrated by Satan and his hordes -- whether by possession or oppression.  When you see actions of human beings display fruits of lies, jealousy, envy, pride, rebellion, disobedience, unlawful, arrogance, hatred, grudges, revenge, destruction, murder, suicide, insults, ridicule, humiliation, voodoo, spells, hexes, lewd behavior, lust, pornography, abortion, you clearly know who is the authority behind these actions.  Sin is the doorway to Satan in our lives.  Until we deal with sin we will be subject to the wiles of the devil.

 

When I was about 14 years old I began to hear voices from the invisible realm.  I had no idea that anyone lived in the invisible realm, so I assumed they were all in my head.  What did the voices tell me?  Stay tuned...

Invisible Spiritual Realm Series #3 - Part 174 of Riddles, Enigmas & Esoteric Imagery of Revelation

There are two authorities in the Invisible Spiritual Realm.  (1)  God -- the all existing One -- is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent.  (2) Satan is a created angel who tried to usurp God's kingdom from Him -- and failed.  He can only be at one place at a time, although, he has millions of demons who are stationed all over the planet to do his bidding.  Jesus, when He paid the price for the sins of mankind, destroyed the power of death Satan wielded over men since the Garden of Eden.

Jesus gave us spiritual weapons to use against the attacks of Satan and his hordes, but if we don't use them Satan will neutralize the authority of Christ followers, preventing them from setting the captives free.  Unbelievers will be subject to possession by demons to accomplish the work of Satan on the earth.  What is his work?  To kidnap every human being from God and take them to Hell with him.

Then they went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath He entered the synagogue and taught...and they were astonished at His teaching, for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes...now there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit...and he cried out, saying, "Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are---the Holy One of God."  But, Jesus rebuked him, saying, be quiet and come out of him! And when the unclean spirit had convulsed the man and cried out with a loud voice, he came out of him.

An unclean spirit is impure, foul and lewd.  As the demon departed, the man convulsed.  This means that the unclean spirit was dawn out -- the man gasped with spasms -- much like an epileptic episode, and the man was set free from demonic possession.

We can see by this text that Jesus demonstrated boldly His authority given to Him by God, while He lived as a man on the earth.  Even before Jesus died and rose from the dead, he told His disciples...I saw Satan fall like lightning from Heaven...behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you...Luke 10:18-19.  Jesus has given His blood-bought followers His power and authority -- why aren't we using it?  We can't exercise knowledge we don't have, so we better find it!

What did the religious leaders in the synagogue think about this demonstration of power and authority by Jesus?  They were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, "What is this?  What new doctrine is this?  For with authority He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him...Luke 1:27.  Sadly, the majority of religious leaders today won't even discuss this topic -- invisible spiritual realm -- keeping their flock uninformed about the power and authority in the Name of Jesus.  Ignorance of what Jesus has done for us is a major tool of Satan and his demons.

While we study what the Bible says about the invisible spiritual realm, I have also been sharing some of my experiences in this realm.  When we were last together, I said that I had been asked by a friend to ask God what was terrorizing her friend in the night, preventing her from sleeping.  This elderly lady could no longer speak, and was too weak to write about her night visitors.  I got to work seeking God, standing in the gap for Beth, so we could help her.

A few nights later, I was awakened from a deep sleep gasping for breath -- someone had their hands around my neck choking the life out of me.  I was alone and it was very dark.  I immediately thrust my hands to my neck, trying to remove the pressure because I couldn't speak.  But I had trained myself to speak scripture without using my lips, which came in handy during this terrifying event.  I began to say in my mind, "I bind your power Satan, in the  Name of Jesus, leave me now!"  Still struggling for air I said it again in my mind.  Immediately my eyes popped open, as the pressure on my throat suddenly stopped, and I blurted out, "In the Name of Jesus!"  Just below the ceiling of my bedroom, I saw about a dozen skeletal figures dressed in shrouds, laughing, taunting and condemning me.

Whew!  I was wide awake by now, realizing what horrific torment Beth had been experiencing night after night.  I continued speaking scripture and praising Jesus until the apparitions disappeared.  The next time my friend visited Beth she found out that she no longer was tormented in the night, yet, we continued to stand in the gap for Beth until God took her home.

Is your church teaching you about the invisible spiritual realm?  If not, why not?  Are you studying the Bible to see for yourself what Jesus clearly demonstrated to you about the invisible spiritual realm?  If not, why not?

Surely you have seen some criminals interviewed that said, "I don't know what caused me to do that -- something just took over that enraged me---I couldn't stop myself."  Something -- someone -- did over power that criminal, possessing them, to enact evil crimes against humanity.  We see people on the nightly news, enraged with hatred with the desire to kill the person who dares to have an opposing opinion.  What causes this?  Stay tuned...

Invisible Spiritual Realm Series #2 - Part 173 of Riddles, Enigmas & Esoteric Imagery of Revelation

The purpose of this series - Invisible Spiritual Realm - is to inform the reader that this realm is of much greater importance than the earthly realm, because the invisible spiritual beings - good and bad - influence the happenings in the earthly realm.  Jesus and the Holy Spirit, and Satan and his demons, seek to indwell human beings in order to fulfill their plans - the final eternal destination - for mankind.  Jesus desires for mankind to dwell with Him forever in Paradise, while Satan desires for mankind to reject Jesus, and follow him into his final eternal destination -- the Lake of Fire.

Once we see clearly the happenings of the invisible spiritual realm, the more likely we will choose to follow Jesus and His Holy Spirit.  So obviously Satan will throw up strongholds against this knowledge, so he can use IGNORANCE to hold us captive to unbelief.   If Christian leaders don't spend precious time and energy informing their flock, we still have no excuse, because all of this information is recorded in the Bible.

When we were last together, I began to tell you a personal experience I had with the invisible spiritual realm.  One night about 1973, the kids and I were alone, sound asleep, when I was awakened by a voice calling my name out of the darkness -- a voice of someone whom I hadn't seen since 1959.  Who was it?

All I heard was "Mary Ann."  I jumped out of bed and walked throughout the dark house quietly looking in each room via moonlight.  I looked in the girls room, but they were still sound asleep.  I knew this rented home had no lock on the back door, so I looked carefully in the screened porch and scanned the back yard.  I couldn't see anyone.

I went back to bed, thinking I must be looney, and snuggled back onto my stomach, my favorite sleep position.  Just as I began to doze off, I clearly heard again - Mary Ann.  I was awake this time, even though drowsy, so jumped out of bed and scanned the house again -- nothing!  Now I know I am not looney, but who said my name so clearly -- I didn't recognize the voice?

Strangely I wasn't fearful, just perplexed since I couldn't explain this phenomenon.  So this time when I went to bed I decided to lay on my back, so when I heard the voice again in the area of the room it previously came from, I could open my eyes immediately, and maybe see something.  By this time I was very awake, but snuggled into the pillow and closed my eyes anyway.  As soon as I closed my eyes I heard - Mary Ann - very clearly.  Ahh...this time my eyes popped open and I saw a man manifested in a vision, situated just below the ceiling of my bedroom.

There were flames engulfing him, a man who had dark sunken eyes of anguish and pain.  His hand was extended toward me, while his index finger gestured for me to come, to follow him.  My heart broke at the sorrowful sight of this man from my past, who had been unfaithful, and so unkind to my grandmother - her second husband.  She died in this man's home when her easy chair, with her in it, burned up.  He wouldn't give my mother any mementos of my grandmothers' and he immediately married his paramour.  I never knew what happened to him, and my mother never talked about him after her mother's tragic death.

 I immediately began to pray for this man, but the Holy Spirit said, "It is too late."  What lesson did I learn from this particular vision?  I learned the importance of praying for anyone God puts on my heart while he/she is still alive on the earth, so he/she will make the choice to follow Jesus Christ.  His eternal destination is decided while he lives on the earth.  Once he leaves the earth, there is no opportunity to change his mind...it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment...Heb. 9:27.

The Bible records an incident in the invisible spiritual realm, where Jesus testifies about a certain rich man who had lived in luxury all his life.  A beggar, unkempt and full of sores, ate only what was thrown away by the rich man.  Both died -- the beggar joined Abraham in the eternal realm of peace and love, while the rich man found himself in Hades where he was tormented in flames.

The rich man asked Abraham if Lazarus could dip his finger in water and cool his tongue.  Abraham said...Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented...and besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there to us...Luke 16:19-31.

One evening in 1974, after the kids had gone to bed, I was studying Ezekiel 22, when I came to verse 30-31...and I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found none...therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath; their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord God. 

I was shocked that God could find no one that cared enough for other people to plead with Him for mercy and forgiveness.  I asked the Holy Spirit if this scripture meant that I could stand in the gap for my parents, who hated God, so judgment wouldn't come upon them?  I wanted time extended to them to hear the true gospel and be saved.  That night I was called to be an Intercessor!

A friend called me to intercede for a lady named Beth, who was being tormented in the night, but due to her illness, she couldn't speak - couldn't verbalize what was terrorizing her at night.  My friend wanted me to ask God to should me what was going on -- so I did.  A few nights later, I was jolted awake to a terrorizing experience in the invisible spiritual realm.  Who visited me?  Stay tuned...

Invisible Spiritual Realm Series #1 - Part 172 of Riddles, Enigmas & Esoteric Imagery of Revelation

In this series - Who is Satan - I am revealing the reality of the invisible spiritual realm -- who resides there, and what is their purpose in God's grand plan for human beings in the earthly realm.  The Bible gives examples of God's angelic beings and how they are sent to help guide men safely into the Kingdom of Heaven.  It also gives us examples of the reality of Satan and his demons, who desire to possess men in order to create chaos, anarchy, hatred and violence on the earth.

Since I became an intercessor in 1974 I have been well aware of the invisible spiritual world, and the power and authority given to believers in Christ Jesus to bring down Satanic strongholds placed against human beings, cities, nations and empires, in order to kill, steal from, and destroy them -- to take them to Hell, far away from God's heavenly kingdom.  We are the target of Satan!

When we were last together I asked, "How do you think he (pastor) responded to my revolutionary idea?"  The pastor looked at me like I had two heads!  While we do need Bible studies and discipleship training, all I was proposing was that the Church get serious about pulling down the strongholds placed on us, and our communities, from the invisible demonic spirits.  We must know who our enemy is so we can be victorious in our efforts to expose him and his deeds.

The Apostle Paul said...for the weapons of are warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ...II Cor. 10:4-5.  First we must surrender our allegiance, our will, to Jesus Christ.  Then we must cast away human arguments that attempt to prove 'there is no God,' and that Satan and demons are not real.  Anything that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, or the reality of the invisible spiritual realm, must be cast away.  If we do not follow these directions, we will succumb to the wiles of the devil. 

Jesus encountered people who were demon possessed, recorded in the Bible, so we can understand the happenings in the invisible spiritual realm, and how these demonic beings cause great harm to His beloved human beings.  In Luke 8:26-39, Jesus reveals how He encountered a demon-possessed man who lived in Gadara, near the Sea of Galilee, showing His followers how to deal with the demonic beings who live in the invisible realm.

When Jesus stepped out of the boat onto the land of Gadara...there met Him a certain man from the city who had demons for a long time...and he wore no clothes, nor did he live in a house but in the tombs...when he saw Jesus, he cried out, fell down before Him, and with a loud voice said, "What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God?  I beg You, do not torment me!"   Religious leaders refused to recognize that Jesus was the Son of God, yet, the demons who possessed this man's spirit knew Him and trembled in fear.

Jesus...commanded the unclean sprit to come out of the man.  For it had often seized him, and he was kept under guard, bound with chains and shackles, and he broke the bonds and was driven by the demon into the wilderness.  What would the Church do today if they encountered this situation?  With few exceptions, the demonic man of Gadara would be immediately referred to a psychiatrist and drugged -- probably for the rest of his life -- considered an incurable schizophrenic.

What did Jesus do?  He simply cast the demon(s) out of the man.  Then Jesus asked the demon...what is your name?  The demon said...Legion -- because many demons had entered him.  Then the demons begged Jesus not to command them to go into the abyss.

In order to illustrate to the onlookers the violence embodied in the legion of demons that possessed the man of Gadara, Jesus allowed these demons to enter a herd of swine.  As soon as the demons entered the herd of swine their violent power plunged the herd down the mountain and into the lake where they drowned.  Think about it --- these violent demons lived in a human being, destroying his life!

When the onlookers fled to the city to tell what they saw, those in the city rushed back to check out the deliverance of the very well known demoniac of Gadara.  What did they see?  They...found the man from whom the demons had departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed and in his right mind...and they were afraid. 

After he was delivered from the demons, the man of Gadara became a mighty witness for the power and authority of Jesus Christ.   And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death...Rev. 12:11.  The man of Gadara lived the rest of his life testifying to all who would listen that the blood - power & authority - of Jesus Christ set him free from the demons who dwell in the invisible spiritual realm. 

The world is looking for something "real" out of the religious community -- if they don't find it, Satan and his demons can offer them his spooky supernatural experiences for a price.  What is the price?   They only have to give their allegiance to him by disavowing Jesus Christ and the Bible.
